A transport strategy, to improve transport into and around Hatfield has been published today. The strategy, commissioned by the Hatfield Renewal Partnership and undertaken by consultants AECOM, looks at the existing transport provided and where people are travelling to and from. It anticipates what the demands will be in the future, and considers how movement around the town by all forms of transport can be made easier.

The strategy identifies seven key areas of transport movement in the town, and presents a range of projects which will improve movement, reduce congestion, and encourage sustainable forms of transport including walking and cycling. The strategy will act as an evidence base for future projects and funding, as well as for lobbying Central Government, transport providers and others.
